Upcoming Rapid Reviews – Fall/Winter Movie Preview
This weekend I’ll have a review of Red for you, but until then, here’s a sneak peek of all the films I’m looking forward to reviewing this fall/winter. It’s shaping up to be an interesting season, folks!
November 19th –Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. One
I can’t say I’m too disappointed that they abandoned the 3-D remastering for this one. I think the powerful story can MORE than stand on its own without having to have Bellatrix’s noggin’ jumping out at me.
November 24th – Tangled
Disney’s latest offering looks to be a fun take on the Rapunzel fairy tale, this time with a “prince” who is at tad more dimensional than your standard knight on a white horse.
November 24th – Red Dawn
This remake has a lot to live up to. Here’s hoping this band of teens can once again save us all from the dastardly forces of world domination.
December 1st – Black Swan
Darren Aronofsky’s latest pyschological epic won promising reviews from the film festival circuit. Boasting a strong central cast (Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Barbara Hershey, Winona Ryder), it’s a strong follow up to his winning work with The Wrestler.
December 22nd – Somewhere
Sofia Coppola’s long-awaited follow up to her poorly-received (but personally, I think it was brilliant) Marie Antoinette is a personal tale of a tired actor and his lonely young daughter.
Tune in later this weekend for my Rapid Review of Red. Can’t wait for the Winter Movies to arrive!
